Cockpit done, I added some Spandaus under the engine cover.

Glad the engine still fit. I added the intake manifold to the left side. Glencoe would have you mount the exhaust with the outlet forward, I will do it more Fokker looking.

Now all the fiddly stuff is done, it's starting to look very Pfalzy.

I had sanded off the over-thick cockpit combing, I will replace it with thin styrene rod. I will recreate the inspection hatches with more adhesive aluminum foil.
I'm debating sanding and thinning the rudder or leave it Glencoe.

Looks great, Allan, every time I see a Pfalz I'm struck by the sheer elegance of those lines... they were the Aston-Martins of the Great War.

I think I'm done with the last of the surgery.

I had shaved off the over-sized combing around the cockpit. I replaced it with some thin styrene rod.

Next, I jigged up the fuselage and wings getting as close as I could to technical drawings.

Trial and error got me the correct length of the cabane and interplane struts. I forgot to shoot a before for the interplane.

Looking at some online WnW builds, there lots of inspection panels and metal re-enforcement bits I will add with the furnace tape. Then we are finally ready for primer and paint.

Nice work on the coaming, a simple but very effective fix. It's looking surprisingly good for such an old kit, but a lot of that is down to you....

Glacial progress but progress...

It's both a curse and a blessing to have the WnW Pfalzs online.
Resorting to my handy furnace tape, I duplicated the many inspection panels, hinges and other bits visible on the DIII.

I then noticed the little missing scoops on each side of the engine cowling.

I found a sutible size sprue and vac-formed it.

Difficult to see clear, I coated with some white primer.

Perhaps a bit oversized but I'm going with them.

I can finally get to priming and painting.

For the doped silver, I mixed 2 parts Aluminum to 1 part Light Gull Grey. Then sealed up the silver with Future as it seemed a little delicate.

The yellow nose and struts were painted medium Yellow. I then lightened the green with a few drops of the same yellow for the tail.

I masked and painted the inspection panels in RLM84.

Decals next then a coat of Future to seal things up then weathering with oils.

Excellent looking silbergrau, I think that mix looks very nice indeed. The paint is coming together nicely for what will be a good looking scheme. It will be hard to believe there's a Glencoe model under there.....
