Wow, less than a month and another post! I'm getting the hang of this!

First, thanks Brad for the comment - it's nice to know there's still someone out there following this drawn-out build!

Wing rigging has been completed and decals applied. Fortunately, I had replacements in the stash for all the roundels. The rudder stripes broke up despite a coat of decal film, but the stencils and tail number went on fine with just a bit of silvering.

The rudder was painted with Tamiya acrylics, and the match is close enough.

After that the landing gear went on. No problems there and rigging done too.

Finally getting there!

Some small touch ups were done, and it is now sitting in the spray booth having had a gloss coat to seal the decals. Final detail painting has also been done on the wheels and Lewis gun so once its dry the final touches can be added: Lewis gun, wheels, tail rigging, control horns and rigging, gunsight, windscreen, and prop.

Thans for looking in!

Looking great Ian (or at least as great as an Se5a can look.)  ;)

Nice to get this one wrapped up and you can decide on your next project . . .

Glad to see this progressing nicely. I liked your comment about another post in less than a month. One post a month would be really quick for me!

Thanks Paul! Surely all SE5s look great? My next project is to get one of my other stalled builds finished! Either the Taube, or the DH4/9 dual build.
Nigel, Alan, and Alexis - thanks for the feedback!

There has been a little more progress this week!

I've got the gunsight fitted, rigged the rudder and tail skid, and rigged the aileron controls.

I was going to finish the tail rigging today but decided against it. I'm off to Vietnam with my gf tonight, (she's Vietnamese, and we'll spend my birthday with her family), so it can wait!

Thanks for looking in, see you in May!

Having returned safely from Vietnam last Tuesday, (if you've never been, GO!) I made use of free time this week to get this over the finish line. No major problems fitting the final items: tail rigging, Lewis and mount, prop, wheels, windscreen - all went well and she is now finally in my cabinet!

Here are a couple of pics, more in RFI

Thanks to everyone who's followed along, and/or commented. I know it's been a bit long, but I got there in the end! Hopefully now I can get the other builds on my bench done too!

Thanks for looking in!

What a little honey! Lovely work, Ian! And I hear you on Vietnam: a work colleague once went and had me green with envy with his stories.
