Nigel,
What a beautiful model. And a good photographer can always turn the model to hid minor imperfections. Very well done.

Great looking result, Nigel. I really like the linen finish and the rest of it is superb.

Thanks for the kind words Dennis, Ken and Borsos, much appreciated.
Ken, your build thread was very helpful for me in completing this one. I referred back to it many times......

What a beautiful model! Just the right amount of weathering! The linen effect of the decals really suits the model well

An update to this Strutter build. I've put her on a base and added several figures. The pilot, observer and erk in overalls are from Elan 13, while the guy bending over is from CSM. The accessories are mainly from Elan 13, while the tools in the toolbox are from a MiniArt set. There's a bunch of teeny-tiny spanners and tools in there, but of course you can't see them
Schrodinger strikes again!
Now it's on to the Pfalz DIIIa for the group build......

Didn't think this one could get any better... but this kicks it up into the Exceptionally Exceptional category. Truly beautiful work, Nigel. And you gotta love Schrödinger's Toolbox...

Thanks very much Robert and Dutch, much appreciated.
Dutch, I am honoured to be in the "exceptionally exceptional" category despite Schrodinger stealing all my tools.....

Thanks Ben. The base was really quite challenging because it's so big. Trying to get enough variation to make it look like more than a load of static grass was harder than I thought it would be.....

Best of luck. A couple of thoughts - Vallejo beige red is a great starting point for a flesh colour. Also, make sure the clothing on the figure is nice and matt. Several paints (like Vallejo) leave a slight sheen which doesn't look realistic. I use AK Interactive Ultra-matte varnish to achieve a nice matt finish.
