Not discouraged with the announcement of brand-new Eduard Albatros D.III I continue with this build  ;)

Lovely decal work, excellent results. I always used to struggle getting rib tapes parallel in 1/72, you have done a great job!

I'm so glad to hear that, Prze! I wonder if yours is the sacrifice the Modelling Gods took so that we may have the new kit?  ;D I hope you build the new one too: I'd be fascinated to read your thoughts on it compared to your efforts here.

Hard to be certain, the photo (in the first post) does not make it clear. So I assumed that they had. Contrary to this, the elevator and rudder seem not to have had them.

No problems - as I understand it, the tapes may not have extended to the ailerons. Here's a picture of an OAW built machine as a reference, showing no tapes on the ailerons:



Up to you of course, but thought I would mention it just in case :)

Thank you, Brad. This photo is indeed evident. Anyway, it is now too late to change my model, I will have to live with the taped ailerons :)

Brad is correct, and this is also the case afaik for all aircraft with lozenge covered wings. But don't worry, only detail nerds will notice  ;) It won't detract from a superb model.
