This is getting to be quite a collection, Rick! I can't wait to see a group shot of friend and foe alike.

Thanks Guys! I appreciate you following the Builds!

So the latest update on the TBF-1 Avenger. Painting is finished and weathering using various Oils is also complete! Now just a bit of touch up needed.

Looks great, Rick, your paintwork is always a treat to see! It always seemed shocking to me that such a huge brute of an aircraft would have such a delicate, rinky-dink tailwheel assembly...

Thanks for the comments, Dutch, Brad, and Zac! I am pretty much finished with the Avenger now. CAG 9 USS Ranger November 1942. Weathering was done mostly with Oils. White, Burnt umber, Mars black, Cerulean blue, and Windsor blue. All were either mixed together or worked into the paint individually.

I agree, the weathering is exceptional... in fact the whole thing is one of the most beautifully-done models I've seen on the web lately. Ya' knocked this one out of the park, Rick!

I must agree with my compatriots - a stellar build! Wonderful weathering, and a great overall finish. The glazing is also well executed - must have driven you mad!

Cheers,

Thanks Dutch, you are too kind! Baseball Metaphor is fine as I wouldn't understand a Cricket expression anyway  ;D
