The German magazine 'Motor' was published from 1913-1941 by Gustav Braunbeck in Berlin. Advertisers come from a wide range of automobile, technical and aviation companies and the designs of some were outstanding. I haven't seen anything from the Allied side that compares. One of the most famous artists is Ludwig Hohlwein, and Fred Neumann (who did the LVG ads) also did some very evocative work
Lucien Bernhard designed the famous Kriegsanliehe poster with the mailed gauntlet that would become famous on Obln Richard Flashar's Albatros of Jasta 5
