I like your (temporary ?) side trip to these WWII beasties Rick.

I did some Spitfires and Messerschmitt 109’s in the 80’s but they looked nowhere as good as your builds here. I really like the colour schemes you used.

I am sure you will have the canopy issue solved soon.  You have been in trouble before, but you always come out on top!

Thanks to all for the interest in the builds! Greatly Appreciated! Here is the latest on all three builds.  The Do17 and Stuka have had the initial RLM 71 Dark Green added.

The Blenheim arrived today!

Unlike Allied troops I'm always happy to see a Stuka.

Thanks Zac and all others that are following along! I have done some work on the DO17 and Stuka but will focus here on the DO17. RLM 70 was painted, some contrasting color added, the clear coated and basic decals added.

Good looking Do 17 Rick. The others seem to be coming on quickly too: clearly your experience with dual builds of real aeroplanes is paying off with these later types!

That looks great!! Looking forward to your Hurricane build. Shame Airfix never followed up the fabric wing Hurricane with  a metal version.

Thanks! Yeah, an Airfix Metal Wing Hurri would be great. That being said I would like to do a 43 or 56 ragwing later on!

I am continuing to roll along on the Do17. All of the gear and bomb bay doors attached, payload installed, and Wheels and tires painted. Next up is weathering with Oils!

Great looking evil empire pencil!! Light weathering?-since I suspect they were well maintained at the time.

The Dornier is looking great, Rick.  What paint are you using for the main colors?

Thanks Steve, and Yes, Light weathering. Looking at photos I am not seeing much in the way of chipping or heavy exhaust staining.

Thank You Stephen!

Thanks Ken. The RLM 70 and 71 are Testors Model Master Enamels. ( I found I still had them hidden away in a box). The RLM 65 is mostly my Tamiya Mixture supplemented with some Humbrol RLM 65.
