The 110 is looking fantastic, this is going to be such a great collection of BoB aircraft. Nice to see the Do17 underway. Ooh I just had a thought, did you have a Walrus on your list? It's great to see you kicking back and having so much fun with this project.

Thanks Richie. I am indeed having fun with this project! It is sort of Funny that the List of Aircraft that "Could" be included is growing Much Larger than My wallet  I realized the other Day that the Early Model Fw 200 actually flew at least one bombing mission over England during the Battle  That being said the next ones I need are the Hurri , Spitfire 1b, and Stuka.

Haha,  the FW200 causes space issues too. I suspect the Whitley may have been used for night raids on ports too. Such an ugly kite, not sure I would ever want to build one!

Yeah, the space could become a problem but not for quite a while. I am just amazed at how Many Aircraft "Could" be included  So just a Very small update: The 110 is on it's legs!

On its legs and looking rather splendid. It certainly was a very businesslike looking machine. I always think the Spitfire, P51 and possibly the Bf109 look like sporting machines rather than weapons.

Thanks Steve and Warren! Today I did a bit of work on the DO17. Step 1 through 6 are dealing with just a couple of interior sections. Step 1 and two involve some parts that fit well but are delicate frames....and TINY  That being said I have made it past those steps and the rest looks to be straight forward, or so I hope!

Some are wanting a report on build specifics . In retrospect I wouldn't pre - paint any of the seat and frame parts as they can be easily painted after assembly. ( Steps 1-4)

This will be the last update for a few days. I am now at the point that the instructions say to join the fuselage halves together. I must say that things weren't quite as "Straightforward" as I had hoped. This had nothing to do with the kit. I found myself doubting how things were lining up. After a couple of fixes, I went back and did it the way the instructions said. That worked just fine! It was the odd angles of the fuselage that kept fooling me  Before joining the fuselage I will go back, touch up, and do some oil washes and dry brushing.

Well done Rick, the cockpit details of the Dornier must be very fiddly after working in 1/32 so much. I find 1/72 very challenging for this exact reason. Looks like you have managed really well though.Hope you sleep better tonight, I often go to the bench too when I can't sleep.

Thanks Richie! The details are really well done for the scale. I think they rival Eduard in that respect! If I were Twenty years younger with great eyesight I would say that Super Detailing this one would be easy! I will most likely add some seatbelts from tape or paper and call it good  Soon there will be a break in progress as I need to order Masks for the Canopies and wait for their arrival!!

PS: I was surprised by how Small the DO 17 is. It is not that much larger overall than the Me 110!

Thanks Steve, the size is truly a far cry from those B-17 and B24  bombers. I will eventually have to compare it to something like the A20. The more I do on this one, the more I am impressed By the approach that Airfix took on many of the parts.

Thanks Zac. Yes, I think we all learned from comparing constant scale aircraft kits. I have continued to work on this one today. I really like the optional parts offered for flaps, gear doors,and bomb bay door. Some great options available.
