I've used EZ Line and thus far no problems (Some is at least 15 years old) I only use it where mono, if taut, distorts the structure, as on lattice frames or similar.
Since discovering "Modelkasten" 5 or more years ago I've switched to it except in very rare cases. Has anyone experienced or heard of similar problems with it?
Cheers,
Lance

Warning! Warning! Warning Will Robinson!  Thread drift detected!!!  ::) ;)

Yes Warren, you are correct. I remember someone on "The List", years ago warning of elastic rigging breaking and Destroying a whole wing cellule. Perhaps Shane Weir? Because of that warning I stayed away and stuck to Mono.

Rick, I want to say I remember that too, ergo why I've stayed away.

After reading these posts awhile back I switched to Infini ship and aero rigging because it is made from Lycra and should not deteriorate like elastic, yet it is stretchable like the EZ line.  I should have known, because I have tied flies (for fishing) for many years and have noticed the same thing.  When using strands of rubber elastic for legs they can break down and crumble after a while, but the legs made from Lycra strands are as good a new and I have never had any problems with them.

Anyone else using Infini?

No, but I'd like to. From where are you sourcing it?

PS: Rick, remember when we used to do the above on "The List"?

WD,

There are several places that carry Infini rigging.

https://spruebrothers.com/search-results-page?q=infini%20rigging

https://hobbyworld-usa.com/en/1543-infini-model-rigging

I ordered mine from Hobbyworld-USA since they have cheap shipping.
