@Alexis
Thank you very much, Alexis.

@FAf
Thank you very much Fredrik.
Yes, that's right, a lot of "future" Albatros are represented here.

Not very much for today, just a little something on the landing gear of the three Albatrosses.

The struts and landing gear parts are painted so far. Additional aging and dirt marks were applied.
The small eyelets for the landing gear rigging are also attached.

The serial number decals on the struts were delicately fogged with very diluted RLM02 so that the lettering appears more subdued.
Here in the example the undercarriage of Sigman's D.Va.

Here the undercarriage of the white/red "Komet" D.Va.

The wooden undercarriage fairing was repainted in red and chipped immediately afterwards with some warm water and a stiff-haired brush.
Oil traces were represented with Tamiya "Smoke".
All metal parts on the landing gear were painted with RLM02. Also the struts.
After that, the finer details like the safety wire, suspension and other small details were painted with a brush.
The struts were then airbrushed with matte white.
Further fine scratches and paint chips on the white painted struts were removed with fine steel wool.
But very carefully, so that only fine scratches are created and the RLM02 base color becomes visible under the white.

The wire eyelets for the landing gear rigging are also glued in place, I used 0.09mm silver wire here.
The wire was wound around a 0.1mm drill bit.

That's it again for today, more next weekend.

That's unbelievable Bertl.
I heard that it all started when a bloke called Archie Duke shot an ostrich 'cause he was hungry!

Like all others, I continue to be amazed at the work you've done on these builds. The rivet marking on the fuselage and undercarriage fairing is exquisite, and the wood grain painting, weathering are fabulous. And my Smithsonian book have the pages falling out too (bought back in 1987)  ;)
Cheers,
Gary

Ceterum censeo: This is still so amazing Bertl, like the first time I‘ve seen these pics on flugzeugforum.

More beautiful work, Bertl!

The Vintage Aviator Limited's pilot training season is coming up so I'll endeavour to get some video of these lovely machines in action to inspire you and the other Albatros builders.
