WNW RNAS Pup Re boot
« on: June 18, 2022, 01:48:46 AM »
I started this shortly after it was released - yeah a long time ago - and watching all the builds got me motivated to get going again. I'm still figuring out picture posting from IMGUR so bear with me.

Mostly box stock with thin wire for control cables, HGW belts and oils over acrylic for the wood. Not sure - my wood tones may be a little too deep. Kit instructions show a more "hickory" tone.

Another small step. The top decking wood. Tamiya tan, oils, clear orange. Again, maybe too warm.

Looks good to me Steve, although the struts in the first photo do look a little dark, but that could be the light.

It is really great to see you back at this one after your extended break! I like the wood work even if it is a bit dark who is to say it didn't happen in the real world  8) Keep it going now Steve!

Thank you gentlemen. I'm enjoying it. I may tinker with the strut colour though.

The kit panel and decals. Iphone8 camera certainly limits how close I can get so sorry for the pic quality.

Nice work on the panel Steve. The dials and wood look great.

Thanks Andrew and sorry for making the heart race. Hopefully at least the popular types do reappear in some form in the near future.

Looking very nice Steve! Its nice to see one of the nice Wingnuts kits being built as opposed to being fodder on the kit collector sites.

The Pup builds nicely and your colours look ideal as they are.

cheers

Steve,

Imgur has made it a little harder than it used to be to get and use links, but looks like you're almost there. Here are two ways to get the links to your pictures to post here:

1. If your picture is already pulled up in Gallery, right click on the picture and copy the image URL. Then go to your post and paste in the URL, highlight it, and then press the Insert Image icon  (Second row of icons, far left).

2. Better still, after adding an image to Imgur, click on your personal icon on the top right, then click  Images, then copy BBCode ... and paste that into your post, for example

.

There are other ways to get links (some depending on forum used), but on this site, I suggest #2 since it's easy to see all your images to use them as appropriate.
