Hello Rick,

So sorry for you. I am sure you will recover that splendidly. What Ian said is so true for me too. 90% good can quickly degrade to a broken plane when trying to get it better. Yours is still looking fantastic and I like it very much. You have done a marvellous job Rick.

Kind regards
Patrick

The broken joint or slight mis-alignment seems to afflict many of us - no less annoying for that though. That is a simply wonderful model with a superb finish: I am keeping my fingers crossed for you in the hope that you can rectify your problem but not cause another in the process. Keep trying as you are certain to succeed.

Sorry to hear of the difficulty with the fuselage split - mine did exactly the same thing in the same spot. Next one I build I am going to somehow reinforce that area on the inside....

Sorry to hear about the troubles Rick.  With your talents, I bet you will have
a satisfactory fix before long.  I'm wondering with others mentioning the
same problem, when I get to my D.VII, I should just use a bit of CA in that
area as a back up.  She's still a stunner though, my friend!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

I have absolute confidence in your modeling skills, my Amigo.  I know that when your finished, no evidence of this accident will remain.
Cheers,
Bud

This sort of accidental damage happens. What matters is having the modelling skills to retrieve the situation and from what I've seen of your work, Rick, yours are top notch.

Best wishes
Nigel

The rear bulkhead that the seat attaches to is a mighty tight fit - I will probably sand the heck out of the edges of that on the next build so that it is not stressing the join of the fuselage any....

Thanks to everyone for the support and especially the confidence you have in my modeling skills  8)
This isn't a major catastrophe but it is an annoyance ! Matching the paint is my issue as I am COMPLETELY out of Misterkit Jasta 10 Yellow.

Hello Rick:

I know your frustration and annoyance!  You really want to get this one little piece fixed and you look, and there it is, that crack!  Hopefully Mike at Mr. Kit will come through in rapid fashion and you can put this setback to rest.  Best of luck with the repair.

Best
