McCudden's SE-5a in 1/33rd scale papercard model by Fitter
« on: November 09, 2021, 03:29:47 PM »
Hello All,

Here is my latest model made from paper and some balsa formers.  The kit was pretty simple but still needed some head-scratching on a few places.  Just enough to make it interesting.  It's billed as McCudden's but those more in the know than I will see that it has long stacks and lacks the bulged cockpit opening.  But it still looks like an SE-5a to me and it makes a nice addition to my card model stash.  Looks really cool next to an Albatros or Fokker D-VII!

It was a fun build and I look forward to some more soon.

Thanks for looking,
Dan

Stunning work and, for me, incomprehensible... 😃 How do you do that with paper?!

I am like Fredrik, I simply do not understand how you can turn flat sheets of paper and card into such realistic models. You are the master of this method Dan.

Outstanding job Dan, as usual.  I really like how this version of McCudden’s SE-5 looks.  Very nicely done!

Best,

Bob
