Great Rick, that you pushed a project over the finishing line without some problems on the last inches.
I like this bird in this interesting livre.
Cheers,
Frank
Thanks Frank. Greatly appreciated!

Congratulations Rick - and I sincerely hope that it makes you fell a good deal better.
Looking forward to you building a real aeroplane next - there is nothing like a pusher to make you feel very much better......
Please could you explain to those of us who are completely ignorant of different painting/finishing techniques, (ie me), what the "oil dot filter" method is.
Stephen.
Thanks Stephen. It does feel good to finish one without a major issue

As for "Oil Dot Filters" it is pretty much like it sounds. Dots of Oils, in this case burnt umber, raw sienna, black, and white, are brushed on randomly. They are then blended together. The last step is a damp brush to remove what you don't want. It leaves subtle color variations without totally changing the original paint color.

Excellent Rick, both the model and possible choice for the next project.
Richie
Thanks Richie. I have lived in Fear of building a DH2 for years. As a matter of fact this is the fourth one I have owned. 3 WNW and 1 Roden. I traded the others away over the years
