You have done an incredible job thinning down the cowling. Looking great!
RAGIII

Thanks RAGIII!

Perfectly done Kevin!
I'm sure that the amount of removed plastic is enough to allow even a rotation of the Small Stuff engine.

I do not know, if you have built already a Small Stuff rotary. If not, please check out the following instruction page (the link is also on the manual page):
https://www.smallstuffmodels.com/p/buildinganengine.html

Cheers,
Frank

Thanks once again, Frank, will study the instructions carefully before I get started. The Small Stuff products are too expensive to waste through avoidable mistakes.

Oh my, there must have been an awful lot of styrene dust floating around after that job!  Certainly well worth it for the result.

Cheers,

Hello everyone,
Here's a quick update just to show I'm still making some progress on this build.
I have been concentrating on the cockpit. Here it is, a combination of scratch building and some
Tom's Modelworks photo-etch parts.

This is a big change from working in 1/28th scale like my last build.

                                                   Thanks and Happy Modeling,

                                                                               Kevin

Hey Kevin , nice to see some progress on this one . Was beginning to think that it got buried  ;)

Really nice work on the innards so far , I do like how your seat cushion turned out . Just great stuff !

Nice work on this, Kevin.  The inspectors should pass that cowling now.

That is a really cool looking seat and cushion. Were those in the kit or made from scratch?

Thanks Everyone for the feedback.

Alexis, I'm just working slow and methodically. There are plenty of other kits I'd like to get on with so maybe I'd better pick up the pace.

The seat and the rest of the work look great! That cushion is Gorgeous!

Thanks RAGIII!

Thanks Ken. I hope so, I might have to go a bit thinner. We'll see.

That is a really cool looking seat and cushion. Were those in the kit or made from scratch?

Thanks fredjocko. The seat and belts are from the kit photo-etch set while the cushion is made with 2 part epoxy clay, sculpted to shape and painted.
The rudder bar is from the kit with the foot straps added from fine brass wire. The under seat supports are a combination of Tom's Modelworks
photo-etch and scrap plastic.

Great work Kevin!
Cheers,
Gary

Thanks much, Gary.

Nice furniture for the cockpit!
