I was there too. Took the trip from Perth, met up with a mate from Canberra and then had the pleasure of meeting James Fahey. He did a great job, showing his obvious considerable knowledge and gently correcting his fellow commentator who described the DH4 as a DH2 with a Schwarlose m/g!
A great turn out of flying WW1 types. Loved it when the Camel pilot “blipped” the rotary engine and when the two Pups flew side-by-side. Seeing the three beautiul Albies flying together was also something special.
IMO the most gorgeous thing at the show was the LVG.
And the kiwi hosts were magnificent everywhere we went.
