Somehow this has passed me by.... I think those new floats are top notch and the interior structure of the fuselage is also very good indeed. This is going to be another of those interesting builds of a type which is new to me.

So, finally after testing the plywood 'cladding' method I'm preparing to revive the Thulin, or at least the floats...

Some of the lessons I learned on the Albatros plywood can be put to use. I've changed the basic painting and shading of the floats.
The plywood pattern print has also been altered, lets see how it turns out this time...

To my horror I've noticed how long time it's been since I last worked on my 'precious baby'.

I have been waiting for the radiator parts from Melius Manus, which have now finally arrived!
On top of that I've misplaced/lost one of the upper wing halves. I wonder were it has gone?

So, that had to be replaced by a new castings.

Well, all of that sparked this build into a new start, and I have lately been working to adjust
some imperfections on the fuselage as well as the rudder parts, rear float and extended fuel tank...

Finally the basic shape of the wings are done, pphheeww...

The wingspan of it's origin, the Albatros B.II - 12.8 m (42 ft 0 in) - 40 cm's
The Thulin G had a wingspan of 17.2 m (56 ft 5 in) - That's 53,73 cm's
It's a huge wingspan for a two seater reconnaissance aircraft!

The Albatros W.1 (closest relative) only had a wingspan of 14,4 m's.

The Thulin G's wingspan is only 4 cm's short of the AEG G.IV which had a wingspan of 18.4 m (60 ft 4 in) 57,5 cm's.

That's getting close to standard sailplane wingspan (15M).  Must have been a floater (in more ways than one).

The wings look superb! They may have taken a lot of effort but it was obviously worthwhile!

Continuing clean up of the major parts...

Wings are almost there, scratched ailerons.

Fuselage and other parts...
