Thanks chaps, you're the best! I actually roared with laughter when I realised I'd painted the wrong side CDL and my masking blunder didn't matter anyway.
I actually repainted the right side CDL already by sticking masking film over the whole surface and cutting round it WWII canopy style. Going to put this little one to bed for a few days while I tidy and reorganise my workspace which looks like the place old models go to die at the moment.
I'm going to do very light weathering, I saw Dixie a few times just before lockdown and she was looking very pristine and tidy although during display season she gets pretty filthy.

I have one more bit of masking to do which is causing me grief, I have practised painting this tail fin emblem many times now and it hasn't gone well yet.

I do know that a few years ago the emblem consisted merely of the red circle so I may resort to that. The airframe was painted PC12 in those days though. Bit more practice and I'll decide, the problem is handling the tiny mask more than anything else.
Thanks for your support chaps, I really appreciate the tips and encouragement. You are definitely helping me improve, not long ago I would have considered the tail a good result and just stuck it on upside down!
