Thanks Ed!
The slum strips are from a DIY store. I used L-profiles 10x15mm, because the thickness of the glass boards is 8mm. So inside of the L 13mm - 8mm means space for 5mm strips.
The strips I bought in 2014 here:
https://www.led-konzept.de/The exact type is no more available (much progress in LED technology since then), but comparable ones (they have some nice filtering mechanism):
https://www.led-konzept.de/einfarbige-LED-streifenI selected 24V for less current/thinner wires,
4mm stripes (the alu on the front as small as possible),
I think I used warm-white. They offer now a colour fidelity (
CRI- color rendering index) up to 95.
That reduces the offer very much. My strips are 9,6W/m, now they are even brigther/more power. The alu-L provides cooling so the LED lifetime is improved.
I added a dimmable LED controller, so it runs typically not at full power.
Cheers,
Frank
