Hollow pipe for rigging
« on: September 10, 2019, 12:19:44 AM »
I used to use Griffon Models .50MM brass tubing for my 1/32 builds, but it seems like that's very hard to find now.   Can anyone suggest a suitable replacement that will look correct in scale?  I've looked at brass and amber poly, but haven't had much luck finding an exact replacement.  Cheers and thanks..

Albion Alloys makes tubing of the appropriate sizes.  I get mine from Sprue Brothers.
I have some from Griffon I bought years ago but I think they're no longer in business.
The amber polyimide tubing for some reason seems to have become as rare as unicorn tears.

Yes, Griffon pipe in the 0.5mm variety is as rare as Rocking Horse Poo. Which is a shame because it has a slightly larger internal diameter.
Albion Alloys is the way to go. Works for me and my customers  ;)

If there is someone is interested in offering modelers a wide range of micro brass tubing, Taiwan Precision Tube has what you need.
