It continues to be an amazing build to follow! Thank you for your explanation about the turnbuckles and rigging lines and sorry for me being late saying that!

Well Terri - that etched chain came from a set of 1/35 scale accessories by Royal Models, who do armour model add-ons. I've had that set kicking around for decades, and keep it handy in my box of tricks. Just for occasions like this. I'm not sure who sells those now, or if Royal Model still exist, since my WWII German AFV modelling days seem a long time ago.

Speaking of details, I noticed (again on the WnW Customer Model page) that it's easy to mix up the rudder and elevator control lines. I almost made the mistake myself - but luckily checked references before I hooked them up. The lines actually cross - here's a pic of the proper configuration...

Cheers,
Gary

Control rigging looks outstanding! I am still gobsmacked by how great the wood fuselage looks!

With your painting you give your models a very special, unique style - I like it a lot.

Brilliant work colours and work! I'm picking up lots of tricks from you! I also really like your photographs as they allow me to zoom in for greater detail.

The Roland D.VIa is now done, completing this thread. I'll try and get some overall views loaded later into the "Completed" section of the forum later today. Thanks to all who took the time to take a look and leave their comments - they were each one very much appreciated!

Cheers,
Gary
