1/48 Eduard Bristol F2B Fighter 'Profipack'
« on: March 27, 2022, 02:20:00 AM »
Dear all -

Just completed Eduard's Bristol Fighter kit which I found quite a demanding model to get together so has been built from the box.

I don't pretend it's perfect (what model ever is?) compared to what others could or have done with this; but overall I am very happy with how it has turned out.

Markings are for 35 squadron, RFC February 1918.

Regards

Dave

Lovely model Dave, you've got the look and the 'sit' of it just right. Looks like you only need to spin the prop and it'll be up and at 'em!

As usual Dave you seriously understate the quality of your builds. This is an excellent model in every way - I am just waiting to see it for real. Not the easiest of types to build - but you have nailed it. Super finish.

Stephen.

Very nicely done.  Thanks for sharing the photos.  I have this on my to-do list but thought it looked challenging to build so haven't started yet.  Yours turned out great.

I wish my models were as un-perfect as that!  Holy Cow...love the colors and markings.  Really sets it off.

Very well done,
Dan

It looks perfect to me.

What a great model Dave!

Very neat and tidy paintjob too. I like her color scheme very much!

It is a very fine model! And I am sure a couple of close-ups of the cockpits zone would do justice to your efforts!

One doubt, I wonder if Biffs were indeed carrying two Herl 110lb bombs - it seems like a relatively huge load concentrated on two single carriers.

Thanks, Prez -

I honestly don't know (others may?) you may be right.  However, this was one of the kit options regarding bomb loads so I chose this one.

Oh yes, I know what you mean! I had also to stop my build for while and made something different in between.
But the kit base is great - with my addition it is still one of my best models and reached a Gold medal on the Euro Model Expo last weekend.

Cheers,
Frank
