Help with Aviatik Berg C.I marking options
« on: May 08, 2018, 06:31:29 AM »
Looking at starting a 1/72 Aviatik Berg C.I (Joystick vac-form) and hoping this might be great place to find info on the colour options this particular aircraft would have had.

I have found many options for the Aviatik Berg D.I single seater and hoping similar may have been worn by the C.I.

Yes, very similar markings. I just took a quick look at my copy of Austro-Hungarian Army Aircraft Of World War I, and it has photos of Aviatik-built aircraft in plain finish (wood fuselage and CDL wings) and full "autumn leaf" style mottle.  It also has photos of Lohner-built aircraft in similar mottled finish and also covered in painted hex camouflage, looking very like photos of Linke-Crawford's D.I.

I'll check my copy. And i'll post here the options. In my opinion the hex option more atractive. You can check out my build tread posted a year ago or so. Chears.

As i promised:
Most of them are in plain natural plywood. Some of them in "autumn leaf" camo and some in hexagon lozenge.
