« on: July 19, 2013, 08:04:10 AM »
WANTED

I have searched the world looking for this particulat item but everyone is out of stock, have been for many months, so if anyone has a few spare packs i will gladly buy them. The product is  Grandt Line 5100  and i use a lot of these in my scratch builds.

Many thanks to anyone who happens to have a few spare packets or knows of a supplier who still has some in stock, please PM me.

Sorry Lance, they are 1 3/4" nut with 2 1/2" steel washer in HO (1:87) scale, the 5100 is the Grandt Line product number.

Thanks Scott for your help, the 100 is not the same as 5100 as far as I know. You did send me some a long time ago which were the 5100, I have since purchased more from train shops but like I said they are all out of stock. I have just found a supplier here in Australia, I have sent them an email to see if they have any in stock. I have been to the website for Grandt Line but last time I asked them they were out of stock, they don't have paypal either.

If my local supplier comes up empty handed I will ask you to check your suppliers in the states, surely someone has a few packs in stock.

it seems you are right about those being out of stock most places. not sure on grandt line themself as you have to email your order direct. it seems as though according to the grandt line site that the part #100 and #5100 are identical. they are both dia .018 inches but part 100 is in 1/4 scale which 1/4 inch equals 1 foot (or 1/48)and part 5100 is ho scale(1/87 i think). i have  5 sprues of 35 bolt heads i can spare or 175 if you want. i can pop em in an envelope if you like. maybe this can hold you over.pm me your addy.

i dont have the original packages but i bought myself a few packs when i bought yours so these have to be the same size as the ones i sent you originally. i have 2 sizes just like i sent you. some sprues say 100 and some say 101. here is the link which shows 100 and 5100 adjacent in the same sector of the list saying they are both .018 inches.http://grandtline.com/products/mrr/mrr%20details/augmentables.html scroll down. so actually you may be able to check to see if companies might have part #100 in stock as well. they may have those but not realise they are identical.

Many thanks to Scott for doing a bit of detective work and discovering that the Grandt Line 5100 nuts I was after are the same as the Grandt Line No.100 nuts, just a different scale.  A search of the net has revealed supplies of the No.100 packs, so problem solved, thanks Scott, you saved the day.  :) :) :)

I have been lucky enough to find a supplier in Sydney, only two hours drive from my place, who has three packets of the 5100, so they are on their way to me as I speak, the guy is placing another order with Grandt Line next week so hopefully stocks will be replenished soon.
