I recently came across a previous exchange on this topic and would like to explore it further. There is some conjecture that the lifting points were four in number; two in the pilots cocpit, and two at the rear engine mount.
I believe that to be false. The picture used as reference shows the aircraft in a repair or storage shed. The Zeebrügge crane cable had one attachment to the aircraft it lowered into the water. When the aircraft was afloat, the observer stood up and released the cable. The "harness" attachments had to be two-points; but where ?
I'm building the aircraft to compliment my crane, and need to know; Please expound anyone.
