Pictures of frontline units using the Albatros B II?
« on: July 21, 2016, 06:07:24 AM »
Hello friends,
since I started my first WNW kit (and this time it is a double build, because I promised a friend to build his Albatros B II too), I still have a problem after many many evenings of research: I am only interested in frontline planes, I do not built training aircrafts at the factory or FEA's. And that's the problem I have with the WDF: There are no pics of airplanes that were definitely flown at frontline units, just many many training machines. And if there is a pic of a frontline plane, there's just a part of this bird, not showing the exhaust, the serials and so on. So is anybody having a picture of an Albatros B II flown at the front in 1914-16? I would love to build my bird in a frontline scheme (I don't mind printing my own serials or so)?
Thank you in advance!

Borsos,
I found a couple of photos in some old books. One is of a BII with hastily applied Iron cross markings and the other at the outbreak of the war with no insignia. Let me know if you are interested via PM.
