Hi Slateman,
Welcome to the site and I hope you have fun here and get as much inspiration as I do! Yes, Steampunk and the associated themes are just great, I like them too!

Regards,

Marc

Thanks all for the hints and tipps regarding the journals. I am now proud subscriber of Windsock (as well as their Datafiles) and Cross and Cockade. The two issues I have ordered from Windsock (Summer/Winter 2015) showed exactly (modellingwise) what I was looking for - hoping that the CCI issues give some historic insight. So, a little bit of both ;-).
I have also checked out WWI Aero (latest two issues) and Over the Front and found that - at least OTF - is very much of academic, historical nature, what I actually like. It's just too expensive to start it all at once. I will give it a try later on. What I find quite impressive is the fact that there's so much good literature/periodicals that publish 4 issues a year for about 30/40+ years already publishing "new" photos and information on the subject with each and every subsequent journal still focussing exclusively on a topic that is so special as WWI and "early" aviation.

Welcome to the forum, Slateman!  This is the place
to be for WWI modeling, he said without much bias. ;)
Good to have you aboard!

Cheers,
Ernie :)
