Little Revell DVII Quickbuild
« on: February 18, 2016, 04:24:00 AM »
I suppose every model has a story behind it, and this one was created, in a hurry, as the club theme night was "Black" and I had nothing suitable, so I rescued this forgotten old kit, scrubbed off the fabric weave effect, scratched some reasonable cockpit and thinned the struts... Didn't do much else, just added decals from spares (OK the crosses aren't quite right) and masked and painted the fuselage sash (The best part IMHO) and called it done! The cowling panel and exhausts are wrong, my bad... Ltn.d R Willi Nebgen, Jasta 7... see Fokker DVII Anthology 1 Windsock...

It was fun...

Regards,

Marc

Very nice, Monty!  Not bad at all for a quickie.
Cheers,
Bud

Those old Revell kits are still good value even though they are sooo old. Lovely model and again very well finished.

Very nice work on that OLD kit! You have done a great job with the paint scheme as black is difficult to make look right.

I really appreciate the kind words for a build that really is not the greatest - but it was definitely fun and gave me pleasure...

Thank You!

Marc
