Albatros D.XI, Karaya, 1:48
« on: December 14, 2015, 05:22:09 PM »
Hello
Albatros D.XI with 11 cylinder (160hp) rotary engine manufactured by Siemens-Halske.
To sum up the built I would said that it was great adventure…with decals :) again – after Halberstadt and Albatros OEFFAG.
The main trouble I had encountered dealt with the upper wing adjustment to central cantilever and wing supports. Nevertheless I would not say any disapproval of Karaya product ;D
Enjoy

regards
K

You have ended up with a really nice looking model K, the wood effect on the fuselage turned out very well and the lozenge application is excellent, congratulations on completing a somewhat unusual looking aeroplane but presenting us with a stunning model.

I think Des was reading my mind! An ungainly Bird but you have done a Beautiful Job on your model!

Now that is a bit different!

Great model - your wood fuselage is exceptional.

Knew nothing about this type before - certainly unusual but extremely well made and finished. The metal of the cowling is really good and the wood effect is what I would die for. Many congratulations on an excellent model.

Thanks a lot for very kind words ;D
BTW I have put her on the shelf just next to Dr.1 and frankly she looks very odd in comparison to so well know and common view of fokker ;)
