i guess its a new boxing of the kits they released 3 years ago.i assume h.f.w. means halberstadt flugzeug werke or similar as the original kit had roland built long fuselage as its basis.perhaps a new short fuselage and/or new decal options at the very least. mirage put out at least 4 boxings of their earlier halberstadt cl.ii including a limited release bfw boxing which came with a collector coin.this is good news as i have the original release which is quite nice

3 Halberstadts were restored in the early nineties, one of them is the one at the NASM Museum with green/purple/ochre camouflage. The other two are D-IBAO, a civilian machine residing in Berlin (at the MVT - Museum fur Verkehr und Technik) and a zebra painted one at the USAF museum. And there is a very good book edited in 1992 about the restoration of these machines titled "Die Halberstadt Cl.IV D-IBAO" (ISBN 3 8132 0391 3) - unfortunately for me, only in german. But the pictures speak for themselves.

I'm sure Mr. Jackson already knows about this trio, but I suspect that, after that beautiful LVG, he will have soon finished another german two-seater (Not a Halb.)
