Not all of my photos are of the aircraft themselves, so I'm not sure where to post this, but this section seems as good as any.

I was there on Friday, it was much dimmer looking in there and what pics I took with my phone came out dark.

It is quite dim, Keith. I had to use a tripod and time-exposures to get these.

Yes, thanks Squiffy. I particularly like the shot of the Rolls Royce Eagle.

Great shots Squiffy!!!

Did you have any troubles using your tripod? I've been there many times but going back there again in April and would like to take some pictures with tripod.

I love Hendon :)

Great pictures, thanks.

When I've photographed there I've needed a tripod and a long exposure, as it's so dark. The Battle of Britain hanger in particular was very dark.

Presumably it's a case of the curators being anxious to protect the exhibits from the harmful effects of bright light. When I was there before Christmas, the most problematic to photographic was the Fokker D.VII, it being high in a shaded area and tucked in close against the end wall. Even the viewing point along part of that wall didn't help much.

Best wishes
