This came up recently on another thread so I thought it might be useful to share the reference photos I have gathered for my own build.

Most of them are either from the Memorial Flight restoration or from The Vintage Aviator reproductions

Modelcasters make some resin parts which will save a lot of scratchbuilding. Different prop and radiator

Eduard PE set gives you the louvres under the nose

Front bulkhead is only visible if you plan to do a cut-away (my intention)

This build is waiting in a priority queue for progress  ;)
Happy Modelling

Thanks as ever for the photos, James, and good luck with the build when it reaches the top of the priority list. When I was talking with Rowan (Pheon) at Telford, I've an idea that the beautifully fine engine cowling panels he was working on were for the Viper version. It might be worth checking with him.

Best wishes
Nigel

Hi Jamo, that's good for me, my intention to have a USAS Viper powered S.E.5a some day - thank you!
