Aircraft question, E type aircraft
« on: July 06, 2014, 02:23:12 AM »
I have been reading my new books on the Roland and Pfalz aircraft and have a question. The EIII/EIV aircraft look to me to be almost the same as the Fokker EIII/EIV. Are they? Could someone take a WNW kit and convert it to a Pfalz EIII/EIV?
Thanks in advance.
James

It's possible, James, but it would be easier to scratch-build the Pfalz.  The Pfalz fuselage is quite a bit shorter than the Fokker, and the wing area is much less.  The Pfalz has a narrower chord and shorter span, which is, no doubt, why the Fokker was a more successful design.
Cheers,
