Hello from Belgium
« on: March 29, 2014, 09:32:57 PM »
I wanna say hello to all you guy's from Belgium.

My name is Danny and i live in a small town in East Flanders region.
My intrest in W.W. 1 aviation started when i got my hands on some glass plate negatives of German aircraft. After some study i learned that these pictures where never ever published in any form or book. So i started to make pictures from these negatives and so i discovered some very intresting things about these German planes and people who where on these photo's.

With the appearance of the Wing Nut Wing kits i got further sucked in with the W.W.1 bug and for now i'm hooked.

Here are some intresting pic's of the glass negatives.

Pfalz D.VII from Jasta 14 at Phalempin aerodrome France.
Pictures are taken between 1917 and 1918 ass mentioned on the box of the glass negatives.

On these negatives is also seen, the crash, funeral and burial site of Lt. Emmerich Honigh, who crashed during a training flight in a Albatross D.Va and not in a Fokker DR.I.

Hi Danny,
Many thanks for sharing these beautifully clear photos  ;)

I would date these pictures anytime after mid March 1918 - this is when the crosses were changed.

Cheers,
Bob

Welcome aboard, Danny!  Thank you for posting the clearest, sharpest photos of Pfalz D.VIII's I've ever seen.
Cheers,
Bud
