Great… the D.V makes sense (and is on my list as well) and hopefully it can be shimmied into other kits… I think the Eduard kit is missing a radiator altogether…could you re-scale your one? Just a thought.

Cheers
Matt

If we are still talking about the D.V -- it would have to be redesigned to work in 1/48th scale but I think it could be done. There's an awful lot of stuff in the Eduard D.V that could use attention as well. The Flugmotor will be a bit of a trial balloon -- if interest is strong, I might work up other stuff for it. I've already promised Brad a spinner.

The 1/32 Mercedes D.IIIa Early kit has been released in a limited edition of 50 boxings, of which less than half remain at this writing.

Each of the 23 rafts of parts that make up the kit are available on an individual basis as well and will be indefinitely. Most are found here, while the crankcase, cylinder set and Bosch ZH6 magneto set each have their own product page.

The parts guide and assembly manual are free PDF downloads.

I have to say this is truly amazing. Incredible design and craftsmanship plus well thought out packaging and assembly instructions.

Any news on when the 1:16 version will be ready? I have the Model Expos Albatross kit and the castings are very bad.

Hard to say. I am working on it. Many of the 1/32 parts are sufficiently detailed that a straight scale-up is possible with minimal modifications. That said, I have a list of parts that will require special attention after upscaling -- in particular the wiring harnesses, valve springs and rocker arms. There are also a few bits planned that are impractical in 1/32 but possible in 1/16. My hope is to have these ready by late summer. These will undoubtably be in a much smaller edition than the 1/32 kits as the demand is pretty light (but non-zero).
