1/32 Kotare Mk.1a Spitfire "Brian Lane"
« on: June 10, 2024, 10:44:04 PM »
I recently completed a 1/32 Kotare Spitfire Mk.1a from their "Brian Lane" release last year. The kit was extremely well engineered and I can't recommend it highly enough. The figure was sculpted by Mike Good and as always was a pleasure to paint up.
Cheers,
Gary

Magnificent Gary, and your figure is an a class of it's own, as always. You've really captured the stress, fatigue, and the "Thousand mile stare" as is so well shown in the original photo of Lane.
I need to get one of these and I'd really like to see a Mk. V release by them. Congratulations on a spectacular model.
Cheers,
Lance

Excellent work. You've given the figure the wind swept hair I thought (wrongly) was a bit lacking on the casting!

Lance - just yesterday I saw a note by Richard Alexander that the Mk.Va is out for pre-order. Someone asked if the Vb would be a possibility, and the answer was "it depends on how many of these we sell".

Cheers,
Gary

Fantastic build! And especially the figure is - like always - a pure pleas to look at!
