This is a conversion from the 1/48 Eduard Fokker E.III. All I really had to do was omit the fuel cap behind the pilot, change the wing step plates, and scratch the ammunition feed and brass collection plate. I also scratch built the fuselage underside details and added photo etch lacing.
This aircraft probably had the rotary ammunition feed on the right side which would change the metal cheek bulge to a different shape. I couldn’t find any pictures of the right side to confirm so left it as is.
This aircraft was first of six late production E.1’s sold to the German naval air command (Luftstreitkrafte) in 1915. LF.70 is the only one painted in this coloring.

The Eduard kit interior is almost all 2 dimensional photo etch. It surprisingly built up pretty well.

This is an older kit before Eduard upgraded their injection molding system. Lots of flash and rough surfaces. It does clean up well though.
