Here are a few sketches and some (sorry, not such great reproductions) photos of Avro 504K's in the 1920's. These are from the official archives, so show the crashes! Note the upper wing centre section with tapered wing roots, like the 504N and the beautifully polished fuel tank! The colours are a careful reconstruction by fellow modellers, the best we can do as no original fabric exists and there was no colour film available! These colour shemes shown had no wing roundels or markings. The two stripes are thought to be flight markings. The side view was a help to correcting the Airfix kit... probably not 1/72 on your screen!
