Fokker DVII framework fit
« on: February 27, 2017, 10:43:47 PM »
There was an excellent tutorial on this forum on how to ensure correct alignment of the cockpit and engine framework. Try as I might I can no longer find it. Can anyone please point me in the correct direction?

I hope I am correct as I think it was Justin on his Willi Gabriel Build. If not then it probably went away in the DVII GB Archives when Des removed them.

Thanks. I did check that build. Photos and comments are pretty good so should help but it's not the one I remember. Guess you are correct and it was in the archive.

That may have been mine. I posted some in progress photos with captions showing various alignment points, etc. I will be happy to re-post them or send them to you.

Thanks for re-posting those!

The DVII Group Build archives containted a wealth of informtion and will be sorely missed by DVII builders -at least I slapped myself for not saving interesting and helpful pictures, knowing they were in the forum! :(

I did save the re-posted ones! :)

I'd like to join in. Thanks for reposting these pics, they'll be really valuable when it comes to building the WNW Fokker D. VII

You are certainly welcome. Glad I can help. I also had the advice of other members which made my build go better than it would have otherwise. I had no fit or alignment issues with the framing, cockpit, engine etc. A fun build. Looking forward to seeing your progress once you begin.
