Excellent result you have there Bob - really striking. As others have said - a superb job on the streaking, very realistic finish all round.

great work on a nice kit, roden was worshiped for this kit not long ago then wnw came along and made biplane modelling so easy many got complacent and insult roden and refuse to build their kits wanting a wnw dr.1 which would only be 15 to 20% better for 3x the price simply isnt worth it to me. you can pick up these kits for $40 or less all the time and they are damn nice.

Yeah, man...indeed beautiful...very tight. And, yes, quite doubtful Tripe streaking could be done better.

Bob,

WOW!  That is really, really nice.  That is my favorite paint scheme for that aircraft.

Although I have already commented on this excellent build I have to add my agreement to this one! Having built two and working on two more right now, I think Roden kits in general, and the Triplane in particular, are much maligned for no real reason. That being said I would buy a WNW DR1 or 2  :-X Do we need a WNW DR1, probably not really!

Absolutely agree. I picked up two of these for £50 at Marionville Models in Edinburgh and, at £25 a pop, I have no qualms about talking a razor saw / knife / file to them as takes my fancy. My WNW Alb OAW though would cost me £82 plus postage to replace if my hand slips badly....

Bob, your Dr.I is beautiful. I love the streaking and the effect on upper wing is terrific. Well done Sir!
