Interesting Auction if you're quick...
« on: May 12, 2016, 12:34:36 AM »
Hello all,

Just thought I'd share this link to an auction this Friday (13th May) in the UK..

http://www.dominicwinter.co.uk/Catalogues/2016/MAY16/DW%2013.06.2016_Low%20Res.pdf

It may be of interest. The stand out lot is a collection of 48 WW1 props! Estimate is £40-50k  :o but if it doesn't sell as a collection will sell them individually...

There's also a WW1 aircraft vickers gun...

Also some modelling interest too. Worth a look even if you can't quite stump up the £50k   ;D

Thanks Guy, there is some very cool stuff there.  It is worth pointing out that their website has a separate, downloadable catalog for the propeller collection that has some fantastic photos... a really nice reference.

Here is the link for those who wish to grab it: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/e6mr15bq4dfqwej/AAAI7Wv76HP3X6f44GpQbYf2a/WWI%20Propeller%20Collection%20Gert%20de%20Leeuw%20at%20Dominic%20Winter%20Auctioneers%2013%20May%2C%20lots%20895-943.pdf?dl=0#

Thanks Chris, I'd missed that. Yes, a useful reference even if you're not buying!

I'd like the Vickers! Not sure I could smuggle that into the house though without the missus noticing... :P

Oh, I'm not sure about that. Is it not possible your lady would just think you were very pleased to be home.  ;D

Well played, boggie, well played.

Yes that Vickers is cool.  Great auction.  The Hi-Res version of the catalog is very nice as well.
