controle horn colour
« on: March 31, 2016, 05:14:39 AM »
I am building Du Doch Nicht, a very colourfull Fokker D.VII but the question relates to all colourfull aircraft.

Almost always the controle horns are pictured or with a clour call-out that is either black or some other appripiate colour say gray-green for german aircraft.
But would these not be the same colour as the wing, especially when that wing was painted in the field or shop with decorative artwork or say a Jasta group colour loke Jasta 18 with their red noses and white tails?

or would the controle horns be tapes up or protected otherwise so they would retain their original colour?
If somebody has an idea, please let me know!

ps, would this be the same for french, english, italian ect. etc... planes?
