Wingnut Wings Albatros D.V
« on: December 18, 2015, 07:31:27 AM »
WNW have sold out of their D.V but still offer the D.Va OAW #32047. I've a mind to attempt Monnington's Jasta 15 D.V but find the OOP D.V kit going for sale at or near double the original MSRP of $69.

Aside from having to scratch the aileron controls and their fairings, what would be entailed in modifying the 32047 to D.V configuration (for about half the cost). Or is there another way to go about this in 1/32nd.

Thanks in advance

Mike, I suggest you download both the instruction booklets from the website,  you can see then exactly what needs to change. Theres a fairing on the back of the D.V upper wing cut out and the panel between the guns differs so the cables can pass through.

If you compare step by step the assembly you will see how little really needs to be changed.

The big circular pulley you need to add on the control column needs 4 holes drilling through it too.
