Look. for pics of trolleys used to tract Spads.
« on: December 01, 2015, 05:03:42 AM »
Hi!

Help! I had some pics of the real thing and pics of a neat model of the trolleys used to tract Spads (or other planes) but seem to have lost the whole lot.  >:(

It's a two-wheeled trolley with a long double handle with a "cup" like....thing, to put the tail end of the aircraft in. Then 2 mecanics would pull the aircraft easily.

Crap, you know what I'm talking about, don't you??? :o

I will try to scratch build one for my Hobbycraft Spad.

Thanks for any help.

Ciao
Iwik

Is there such a thing you 're looking for, Iwik?
I've built it scratch from brass rod and leftover wheels.

YES! Umlafmotor.
I guess you must have pics of the real thing to build this little gem?
Since it is used on a french (?) captured Albatros, it must be of french design? Aren't those Spad wheels?

Hi Iwik,

Sorry, I have no more original images............ Lost in space  :(
But, take a look on the Wingnut Wings webside by original images Albatros D.Va!!
I have built the trolleys almost completely scratch.
The wheels are of an Albatross D.I Roden kit.
Here are some pictures when I built the two trolley's two years ago.
One for me and one for Nordland Models.
Unfortunately, these people have never managed to produce this little thing in Resin for after market. >:(

Hello Lukasz from Taurus, can you ............ ?  ???

Maybe the pictures can help you to built it, feel free and use it as a template.

Extremely well done Bertl, and hopefully Lukasz from Taurus will take on the challenge and produce this as a kit.
