Please excuse me if this has been mentioned before (even then it deserves another highlight) – the archives of ‘Flight Magazine’ are available on the internet thanks to the generosity of the publishers. Vitally – they are searchable as well. The years available span from 1909 to 2004.

Thank you for the link, Russell. I just read a very interesting article in the issue you linked to about the Fokker DR.1. It goes into great detail analyzing and reverse engineering the structure down to the minute details such as seat adjustment collar attachments. It is interesting that the article states that the airplane has "bad finish and workmanship" as well as "poor design"!

Great stuff! I'll definitely be reading more.

indeed this is a great resource. It has been mentioned before here, but as you say Russell, it deserves a bump.

one of the few places where you can see drawings of odd one off forgotten prototypes. as well as period write ups of the ctrafts we know and love. my second favorite ww1a/c periodical after ww1 aero.
