I have just seen this marvellous collection on ebay up to a 100 aircraft for sale,i feel that these should be in a museum.

wo i expected them to be like 1/16 or 1/20 scale those things are 1/72. whomever did them is very talented

Turns out that there is 350 models all i all for sale,the seller recently puchased the colletion to sell on,he says that he would like yo sell to one collecter.

 And to think there are regularly very poorly built, unrigged, Revel and Airfix kits for sale for a starting price of $30 or more!

350 models in all,that must be a life times work going for a song

The models went out of eBay abruptly, while I was bidding high on some of them.
I imagine that someone bought all of them or that they found back their original place.
Did someone save all their photos? I saved some, but not for all of them.
pity that I did not get at least the italian ones.
Hope they are in a museum now.

I have spoken to the seller and he has revealed to me some of the story behind this amazing 1/72 museum quality collection.The chap who built them is getting on and has haved to move from his home which is a shrine to modelling,into a care home.Modelling became his life after his wife died and he became a recluse and somewhat ecentric in his later years.
 After coming out of the RAF in the 50's he worked for Rolls Royce as a master Draughtsman,hense the incredible attention to detail in his models.The collection amounts to 350 amazing pre 1914 masterpeices,a life times work,i urge members to look.

They have been retired from e-bay before they Expired.
They were really very nice, even some of them begun to rust inside.
They were very inspiring. It may be that I succeded in making a museum curator interested in them.
