Any other evidence of a blue background to the logo? The discussion you linked to is pretty ambiguous.

Anybody else not able to see the pictures? I'm reading about heat a great model it is, as expected, so I'd love to see it for myself.

Did the photos get moved to a new folder on Photobucket?

as far as i know this is the general concencus, rather what ive seen and heard done in the ww1 aero circle. i know ive seen it in print somewhere. i will have a look and see if i can get you some more documentation. i can say in photos it looks to be brass at least not painted in the cowl color.

heres what i found in a quick search:

http://www.guide-evasion.fr/rolland-garros-un-homme-et-un-tournoi/

http://www.wwi-models.org/app/album/Acn.php?base=%2FImages%2FIvanec%2FAllied&hdr=Allied+Aircraft&picInx=0
an excerpt from a build:
Morane-Saulnier logos from the kit were first painted Prussian blue and lightly sanded to highlight the brass, as these items were brass on the real planes and not silver.

this is how the kit box art shows it too:

http://www.eduard.com/store/Eduard/Plastic-kits/Profipack/Aircraft/1-48/Morane-Saulnier-Type-N-PROFIPACK-1-48.html

do i know for a fact, sadly no. but its how most guys portray it that model them. i didnt mean you had to change yours, just said thats bout the only diff btw my builds and yours.
