Thanks Ernie for the generous offer. Waking up this morning I've decided to try and scratch build one so will be continuing with the build

Sorry to hear that you lost the rudder but I'm happy to know that you are going to scratch build one and continue with your excellent build.

Well having cut out a template and prepared it for priming I picked up a clamp to hold it  and guess what?

Yup. ::)

They all come home eventually Toby. ;) ;D  I'm glad to see the little
rascal came out of hiding.  On with your beautiful build, my friend. :D

Cheers,
Ernie :)

As Ernie said, Toby, they eventually return- though usually only after you have made a replacement.  But look on the bright side- you've scratch-built the rudder.  All you need scratch up now is a couple of wings, a fuselage and a couple of other bits and pieces,  and you've got another model made.  ;D

Cheers.

Dal.

It does come with a spare top wing and engine nacelle so who knows  ;)

I started to lose interest in this and it shows.
The final varnish went wrong as did a few other little things that overall made me just want to be shot of it but it hasn't put me off quite  the reverse in fact. :D
Still lessons learnt and not taking time over the photos will be addressed next time. There will be a next time as I have over 50 biplanes in my stash.

Very nice job, Toby.  The replacement rudder and overall finish look great.  Congratulations.

I think it's gorgeous, Toby.  Very nice job of the paintwork and I like the
display base as well.  Good going!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Like the others said Toby Nicely done! I think we all are our worst critics when it comes down to the final judgment! Appreciate what you have accomplished and take the lessons to your next build!!

Thanks guys for all the positive comments. I'm having a break from biplanes for a month as I have some WW2 kits to make but I will be back.
