Step back half a century and relive the glorious age of pioneer aviation while surrounded by some of the world’s most stunning scenery.

After travelling half way around the world in 2012, the Jean Batten Clipper, one of the few remaining legendary DC3s still in the air, has taken up residence in Fiordland where she treats her passengers to flightseeing excursions over Lake Te Anau and neighbouring fiords during the summer months.

The Viewmaster modification provides large panoramic windows for superb viewing , while 19 large comfortable reclining leather seats and exquisite inflight service recreate the atmosphere of this glamorous period.

Flightseeing Afternoon Fjordtour. 1 hour flight departing at 4pm, passing over Lake Te Anau on the way to magnificent Milford Sound and returning to Manapouri via the hidden majesty of Dusky and Doubtful Sounds. Embrace the unique opportunity to see more of Fiordland than you could ever hope for from the comfort of our gracious historic airliner. Weather dependent.
 $395 per person.

Half hour Champagne Twiflight departing at 7.30pm. Sit back whilst airborne over the dramatic lakescape of Te Anau watching the setting sun through the wide windows and allow us to treat you to our passionately created in-flight Champagne service.

Weather dependant. $195 per person

New Zealand's Fiordland National Park is one of the world's most beautiful natural wonders. Not far away from Wanaka where the famous airshow is held every second Easter

Beautiful, I wish I could get a rating in a DC3, there are quite a few still flying freight in the Caribbean - real aeroplanes!
