A7V. 1/72 Emhar
« on: February 24, 2025, 11:56:04 AM »

My current build is this Emhar 1/72 A7V. There are a lot of inaccuracies with this kit but I will be building it OOB. The only modification was to hollow out the main gun barrel.
I primed everything flat black. Next I started with the underside and tracks. This was painted with Model Master Panzer green

The tracks were brush painted a dark metallic color. Next, I added liberal coats of RustAll.

It is very much overdone but provides a great base rust finish.

The hull is assembled with little need of filler

The cammo pattern is completed. I only need to mask and spray the white aircraft ID stripes before Neal application

I finally finished this one.  It was a lot of fun to build. Pretty much OOB. Most of the markings were hand painted as on the real deal. I did very little weathering as I didn?t want to overdo it.

I?m unsure about the battle this tank was involved in but it was knocked out of commission and captured by the British. It crashed into an enemy trench and ground itself. I believe the crew abandoned it.

Thanks for looking in!

Tim
